RMS Queen Elizabeth
This is a tour of the First Class amenities on Cunard's Queen Elizabeth
The Original
I sailed on the QE in 1960 as a Commis Waiter in the First Class Diner and The Verandah Grill
for 10 bob a week to a cook I ate fantastic meals, It may have been ten bob a trip.
I used to push the trolly and carve smoked salmon at the tables in First Class.
As I write this I remember wearing a tux and paying a dollar a carton for ciggies.
I don't smoke anymore but a carton here in Canada costs about $80.00 in the store
or $25.00 on the Indian Reserve
